QUAAAACK: Commit Impact Xavier Lherisse

Four-Star DB Xavier Lherisse Commits to Oregon, Becomes First DB in Ducks’ 2026 Class

Oregon’s momentum on the recruiting trail continues to surge, as the Ducks landed a major defensive back commitment this morning. Eau Gallie (Fla.) safety Xavier Lherisse, a four-star recruit rated by Ruvals, announced his pledge to Oregon, becoming the 10th known commitment in the Ducks’ 2026 class. His addition helps solidify Oregon’s already impressive start to the cycle, as the Ducks now boast the No. 2-ranked 2026 recruiting class in the nation.

Lherisse is ranked as the No. 250 overall player in the country, the No. 7 nickel prospect, and the No. 40 player in the state of Florida. A hard-hitting, ball-hawking safety with elite range and playmaking ability, he has steadily risen through the rankings after an impressive junior season at Eau Gallie, where he starred on both sides of the ball.

This commitment carries additional significance for Oregon, as Lherisse is the first defensive back to join the Ducks' 2026 class. Following Oregon’s historic DB recruiting haul in 2025, which featured multiple top-ranked defensive backs, the Ducks are once again positioning themselves for another elite secondary group. Lherisse’s ability to play deep safety, rotate into the nickel, and create turnovers makes him a versatile piece for the Ducks’ future secondary.

With Lherisse on board, Oregon’s 2026 class remains one of the best in the country, and with plenty of time left in the cycle, the Ducks are well on their way to building another top-tier recruiting group.
