Official visit season does not usually reveal everything at once. It is more like a slow sorting process, with each weekend telling you a little more about where the board really stands, which relationships are real and which recruitments are more interesting on paper than they are in practice.
That is why this weekend matters for Oregon.
The first official visit weekend gave the Ducks a chance to bring in a large group of targets, including several committed players who could help carry the message of the class. This weekend is not just a continuation of that. It is a different kind of test. The group is heavy on offensive skill talent, includes another important offensive line target from the Pacific Northwest, adds a top defensive athlete, brings in another linebacker for a board that still feels very active and gives Oregon two committed players who can spend the weekend doing more than just enjoying the trip.
This is where Oregon gets to turn months of groundwork into something more tangible.
The Ducks are expected to host wide receivers Dakota Guerrant and Julius Jones Jr., running backs Keldrid Ben and CaDarius McMiller, offensive lineman Gecova Doyal, defensive back Bode Sparrow, linebacker Jalaythan Mayfield, defensive lineman Zane Rowe, cornerback Kamauri Whitfield and tight end George VanSandt.
There are bigger groups on the official visit calendar, but this one has several layers that matter.
