RECRUITING THE FUTURE:

This morning we wrote a depth chart preview for the Ducks in 2026. While this was just the first in a series of spring previews – it was an easy one to start with – it is the foundation of our pre-spring series. Check out the full article here: Wednesday War Room: 2026 QB Depth Chart Preview

If the depth chart portion of this quarterback preview establishes stability for 2026, this section answers the more important long-term question: what happens next?

Oregon is in the rare position of having both a returning star and a clear developmental successor already on campus. That allows the staff to recruit the 2027 cycle from a place of strength rather than urgency. They are not chasing a savior. They are identifying traits, fit and long-term ceiling. The evaluation lens shifts when you do not have to force a take.

Today on the premium section of the Wednesday War Room, we look at where the board truly stands. Who is trending. Who has shifted timelines. Who remains in communication despite commitments elsewhere. And which rising prospects the staff believe can anchor the room two or three seasons down the road. Continuity at quarterback is never accidental. It is layered – year over year, decision over decision.
