Saturday was one of those days that felt endless and yet like it went by too quickly. In the moments of an early morning three-hour walk and an afternoon play session that lasted three hours with Fiji, there were stretches where we were just laying in a field in the sunshine.
In the moment, there was a glorious feeling. After the sun had set and I sat at the computer to type, it seemed like the day had gone by far too quickly and that it had been wasted.
In some ways, I think that is the glory of these late spring days as we head to summer. We get a sort of duality of life playing out in real time.
Too fast.
Too slow.
