The spring game was not just about Oregon’s current roster.
That was obvious from the moment Dan Lanning started talking.
Before he got into quarterbacks, defensive pressure, call sheets or the limited nature of the playbook, Lanning opened with the bigger picture. It was a weekend that connected the present version of Oregon football to the program’s past and future.
“There’s nothing like game day experience in a lot of places in the country,” Lanning said. “And we get to have that here because our fans are unbelievable.”
