One advantage of signing three EDGE players in the 2026 class is that it gives Oregon flexibility as the Ducks begin shaping their board for 2027.
With Anthony “Tank” Jones Jr., Prince Tavizon, and Dutch Horisk already added to the pipeline, Oregon is not recruiting the next cycle from a position of need. That allows defensive coordinator Chris Hampton and EDGE coach Kamran Araghi to be selective as they evaluate the next wave of pass rushers who fit the Ducks’ defensive system.
Instead of chasing numbers, Oregon can focus on identifying the long, explosive edge defenders who can both set the edge in the run game and create pressure in Hampton’s aggressive pressure schemes.
