Oregon has spent a lot of time building its 2027 receiver board, but Dakota Guerrant always felt like one of the bigger pieces.

That was not just because of the ranking or the offer list. It was because of the player profile. Guerrant is a productive, skilled, competitive wide receiver who has been a major varsity contributor since his freshman season. He has played receiver, wildcat quarterback, defensive back, return man and just about any role Harper Woods needed from him.

That is usually a good starting point when evaluating high school players.

There are players with better verified speed. There are players with longer frames. There are players with more obvious one-trait recruiting profiles. Guerrant’s game is different. His value comes from the blend. He is polished. He is physical. He is instinctive. He has elite positional skills. He has the competitive edge to turn good traits into consistent production.

That is why Oregon made him such a priority.
