There was a lot going on around Oregon’s recruiting weekend, and not all of it was obvious on the surface. The quarterback board remains the headline for understandable reasons, but it was far from the only meaningful development. Between the way the Ducks continue to position themselves with several top visitors, the emerging read on a few battles that are starting to sharpen, and the possibility that Josiah Molden may not be the only good news to come out of this stretch, this felt like one of those weekends where the puzzle pieces started fitting together a little more clearly.
Some of these recruitments still have real distance to go. Some are moving into the stage where Oregon looks stronger than people on the outside may realize. And in at least one case, the Ducks have done a very good job turning roster reality into a recruiting advantage.
