There is not a lot happening on the recruiting front right now, at least not in the way Oregon fans have grown accustomed to during the busiest stretches of the calendar. With only two players remaining in the 2027 class on whom the Ducks are still waiting for a decision, this quieter period is not especially surprising. Most of the major work for the class has already been done, and the staff is now operating in a much narrower window as it waits to see whether either of those final pieces will fall into place.
That slowdown has also created an opportunity. Oregon’s coaches have been able to shift more of their attention toward the 2028 class, digging deeper into evaluations, building early relationships and beginning to identify which prospects could eventually become priorities.
Still, the 2027 cycle is not completely finished. There are two names left on the board, and both are worth a closer look.
