There were a couple of visitors this past weekend we did not spend much time on in the lead-up to the official visit because, frankly, we were still working to get a better feel for where Oregon saw each of them.
That is always part of the difficulty this time of year. Some names arrive with obvious national recruiting weight. Everyone knows why they are on campus. Everyone knows the stakes. Everyone knows the schools involved and the general shape of the recruitment.
Others take a little more time to understand.
Sometimes that is because the player is newer to the board. Sometimes it is because Oregon is still sorting through how a prospect fits into the class. Sometimes it is because the staff likes a player more than the recruiting industry does. And sometimes the board changes quickly because of something that happens somewhere else.
