BIG VISITOR WEEKEND
Oregon’s latest visitor list had a good mix of committed pieces, active 2027 targets and early 2028 names who could matter down the road. That is usually the balance programs are trying to strike in May. The staff wants to keep its current commitments connected to the class, continue pushing priority targets toward summer decisions and also start laying the foundation with younger prospects before those recruitments become fully national.
That was the bigger takeaway from this weekend. It was not just about one position group or one headline visitor. It was about Oregon continuing to build momentum across multiple recruiting cycles. The Ducks had their 2027 quarterback commit on campus, multiple committed prospects back around the program and several uncommitted targets who could help shape how the class finishes. They also brought in a strong group of 2028 prospects, which matters because the biggest recruitments often begin long before official visits and commitment dates become part of the conversation.
For Oregon, these weekends are no longer just about showing off facilities or getting prospects into Autzen Stadium. They are about stacking relationships, letting commits help recruit, giving position coaches more time with priority targets and making sure younger players understand the way Dan Lanning’s program evaluates and develops talent. That makes this visitor list worth a closer look, even if some of the names are still early in their recruiting process.
