QUAAACK: Dutch Horisk Commit Impact
COMMITMENT IMPACT
Oregon football continued its recruiting momentum with a significant addition to the class of 2026, securing a commitment from four-star defensive lineman Dutch Horisk out of Bellflower (CA) St. John Bosco, one of the nation’s premier high school programs.
Horisk, a 6-foot-3, 235-pound standout, is the
fifth known commitment to Oregon’s 2026 class, which now boasts five
four-star prospects. The Ducks' class is currently ranked No. 2
nationally, trailing only Auburn, but Oregon has the highest average
star rating of any team ranked inside the top 20.
Playing in the highly competitive Trinity League of Southern California, often regarded as the best high school football league in the country, Horisk has been a force on the defensive line. As a sophomore, he posted 65 tackles and 10 sacks during the regular season, an impressive feat against some of the best teams in the nation. His relentless motor and ability to penetrate the backfield have made him one of the most productive defensive linemen in high school football.
“Dutch is a difference-maker,” said one recruiting analyst. “For someone to be that productive as a sophomore at St. John Bosco speaks volumes about his talent and work ethic. He’s the most productive defensive lineman on arguably the country’s best team.”
Horisk’s commitment is another major win for Oregon as they continue to build a formidable 2026 recruiting class. Known for his high motor and relentless pursuit of the quarterback, Horisk’s addition bolsters a defensive line that is already shaping up to be one of the strongest in the nation. His blend of size, strength, and tenacity makes him a perfect fit for the Ducks’ aggressive defensive scheme.
With Oregon now holding the highest average star rating among top 20 teams, the Ducks are poised to challenge for the top spot in the 2026 recruiting rankings. Horisk’s commitment underscores the program’s ability to attract elite talent from across the country as they prepare for their inaugural season in the Big Ten.
